Hello!
My name is Callie Anton. I am a Junior at Auburn University pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. I grew up outside of Atlanta, GA, Gwinnett county to be exact. As soon as I visited Auburn, I knew that this is where I wanted to spend my college years. I have always had a passion for learning, but also for teaching others what I have learned. Through classes I have taken at Auburn, volunteering in the classroom, and even just helping my God sisters with their homework, I am learning how to be an efficient and loving teacher. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me as an educator!
My Teaching Philosophy
To me, being a teacher is much more than what it seems. I want to be a teacher because I love watching students bloom. There is something so special about a student finally understanding a concept, and then seeing how they grow throughout the year. Learning is a gift and an opportunity that not everyone has. I do not take that lightly. I hope to be the teacher that students are excited to have, and I hope they in turn become excited about learning. I also want to be a resource for my students in terms of both learning and life. I want my students to be comfortable enough to come to me with anything.
